300k on a Lexus? Ah, good to see you’ve broken it in nicely. It is ready for another 300k.
250k on a BMW? Impressed with the dedication to continue paying 4 digit repair bills. Could probably take one of those bills and buy a Lexus, and drive that with 10k interval oil changes for the next 5 years.

I’ve got an 11-year-old Malibu that hasn’t yet hit 100k. It’ll probably happen in the next two weeks or so.
It’s not a point of pride...It’s more because I don’t like the car much, but it’s paid for and still running so we’re using it. I’m actually hoping to get rid of it in three months or so.
